UPDATE 3/16/2020
While we will remain open for business, it won’t quite be “business as usual”. We are taking extraordinary steps to protect both our employees and our guests. These steps include:
- Whenever possible, we are staffing the various departments in our dealerships with separate shifts in an effort to minimize contact among personnel and to better facilitate social distancing. We have also given our staff flexibility for absences related to COVID-19. Finally, we have issued a very clear, company-wide directive to stay home at even a hint of illness. Accordingly, please forgive us in advance if you observe reduced staffing when visiting our dealerships.
- We have worked diligently to procure additional supplies of soap, hand sanitizer, disinfectants, latex or rubber gloves, steering wheel covers, and seat covers. For those of you who are curious, our bathrooms remain well stocked with toilet paper.
- We have put forth considerable effort to educate our teams about the CDC’s guidance for limiting the spread of Coronavirus. When visiting one of our dealerships, you can anticipate a warm smile and a friendly greeting, but you won’t receive a handshake. You may also notice that folks in our dealerships are routinely and regularly washing their hands and working to maintain a distance of 6 feet from their colleagues. We have also engaged our cleaning crews to increase the frequency and rigor of their work. With the ever-changing guidance from the CDC you can expect our efforts to evolve. When visiting our dealerships, we ask that you consider the CDC’s recommendations too. Of course, if you aren’t feeling well, please don’t visit a Faulkner dealership until you are certain you have fully recovered.
- While our showrooms remain open, we remind you that you can view our inventory of more than 6,500 cars and trucks online (tobesure.com) and complete much of the shopping and buying process without entering a dealership. We’ll even arrange to have a vehicle delivered to you if you prefer to limit contact.
Over the past 88 years, Faulkner and our communities have experienced and survived a wide array of exceptional events. Although the disruptions to our daily lives won’t be easy, we will survive this one too. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your local Faulkner dealership and know that we will continue to monitor and evaluate the wellbeing of both our teams and our communities.
Sincerely,
Henry (“Harry”) Faulkner, IV
